STS compliant prepaid meter originated from South Africa and there are more than 20 million pcs prepaid electric meters have been installed since 1990s. Calin is one of the earliest in the world successfully migrated STS prepayment technology from electric to water metering section. This CA568 is a multi-jet wet / Dry type, STS compliant prepaid water meter. The meter has an internal ball valve driven by a low energy electronic motor and automatically shuts off on zero credit, low battery or battery loss, tamper protection mode and human sabtage. The battery is replacable with 3 year lifespan. As the battery and case is of humidity protection design, the meter sustains water splashes as of IP56 protection.

Mobile money payment support is another brilliant feature of CA568. Customers only submit their purchase with their mobile phones, via USSD or app and they will get in return the recharge token codes. This solution is 24 x 7 unlimited and greatly expands service providers revenue collection and imporves their cashflow.

A customer interface unit (CIU) will be offered to enter recharge token codes, It is kept away from the meter which prevent the meter from being tampered and damaged. Customer can check the meter's data credit status and historical usage date from the LCD of CIU
