The CA568  is an STS (Standard Transfer Specification) compliant prepayment water meter.The meter is fitted with a 10-year lithium battery that supports at least one valve shut per day.  It supports various 3rd party payment systems such as mobile money, e-wallet, online banking, easy-pay. Customers just press on their mobile phones USSD, and the topup credit token will be transferred 24/ 7 back to their phones.

To top-up or recharge the water meter, a consumer  purchases 20 digits'  token from the service provider and punch in the token with the CIU (customer interface unit keypad). The CIU is installed within customer's premise, being  kept away from the meter for up to 300 meters communication range.  customer can know the meter's data, credit status and historical usage date from the LCD of CIU.

The meter supports wireless communication on request. NB-IOT, LoRa is recommended for AMR /AMI setups. In scenarios of working with gateway or data concentrator, the  communication range can exceed 2 km, which vastly lowers the networking operational cost.
