Split-Type Residential Prepaid Water Meters with RF Communication and Electronic Latched Valve
Split-Type Residential Prepaid Water Meters with RF Communication and Electronic Latched Valve

The CA568-R series represents an upgrade from the CAW-C series. It operates according to the STS (Standard Transfer Specification) standard and utilizes radio frequency (RF) wireless communication. The meter incorporates a low-power, bistable latched valve powered by a battery, capable of opening and closing up to 4 million times throughout its battery lifespan. With the CAW-C series, users benefit from consistently accurate meter readings and robust revenue protection. Furthermore, the electronic components of the meter are potted and sealed above the metering chamber, isolating them from water exposure, which significantly enhances the meter's reliability.

The meter communicates wirelessly via RF with a Customer Interface Unit (CIU). The CIU is installed within the customer's home, while the meter itself is housed in a cabinet located away from the residence. The STS decryption process occurs within the meter, and the CIU provides a user-friendly interface for the customer. The CIU's Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) can show information such as token acceptance or rejection, credit status, and historical usage data. This split design ensures the meter is immune to tampering or fraud targeting the CIU.

To top up or recharge the water meter, a consumer simply needs to purchase a 20-digit credit token from a vendor and enter the code using the CIU. Through our comprehensive range of prepaid vending solutions, a utility or service provider can efficiently manage the CA568 series water meters alongside STS prepaid electricity meters within a single vending system.
