With an improved dynamic range enabling a basic current of 5 Amp when retaining a maximum current of 80 Amp and extended functional features, CA168 -SP works with a customer interface unit as CIU, or user interface unit as UIU. UIU or CIU is a keypad based display to be installed within consumers homes when the main meter, as MCU, Metering and Control Unit, is installed out of the consumers' premises. MCU and CIU / UIU are connected via power line carrier communication that transferred through existing electrical wires. Therefore no extra cable or wire is needed for installation. Thus the split type setup offers utility users and service providers vast convenience and enhanced revenue protection.
As meter manufacturer and designer, we produce not only 35mm DIN RAIL, but also BS mounting meters and dispensers. Both types works in same principle and communication with CIU. This non-wired setup will greatly reduce the operational cost, narrow the payback period, and most importantly prevent potential tamper .
