The CA368-s is a split type prepayment electric meter that consists of two parts, the MCU (metering control unit ) and CIU (customer interface unit). The CIU is deployed inside of consumer's home where there is any plug point when the MCU is locked away in a kiosk or meter cabinet on the pavement or mounted on the poles. The communication between the CIU and MCU adopts Power Line Carrier (PLC) technology compliant with European standard. This wireless setup makes the main meter immune to any form of tamper. 

 

The main meter MCU CA368 is a poly phase four wire, three wire ( optional), 100 Amp per phase meter, finished in a compact British Standard 5685 housing. Thanks to its extended surge protection for up to 16kV lightening and wide range of operatable voltage ( Un-50%--Un+130%), the meter is intended for prone-to-lightening and brownouts frequent areas such as Afica and central America.

 

The CA368-S allows a utility and service provider to make payment settings such as free basic unit, emergency overdraft credit, debt collection regulations for a flexible contractual control purpose.
